My client is a leading global engineering company.

They are a power management company, making energy efficient products and services, they are responsible for providing solutions that help their customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficient and sustainable.

They have an immediate opportunity for an experienced and qualified accountant to join their finance team in South Molton. The successful candidate will be second in command.

Some of your duties on a daily/weekly basis will include: - 

Assisting the Plant Controller in the consolidation and analysis of financial and operational information for the plant.
Working on profit planning, including strategic planning cycle
Supporting the compliance process in relation to Sarbanes Oxley and internal compliance policies and procedures.
Partnering with senior management and providing advice and support to managers at all levels within the organisation.
Working on profit planning, including strategic planning cycle
Producing monthly results reports for the senior management
Working on MFGPRO and Oracle systems in order to produce accurate analysis
Working closely with Value Stream Managers

Essential Criteria include: -

A degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
ACCA or CIMA qualification
Strong accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and use of GAAP and US GAAP (desirable)
Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance processes (desirable)
Understanding of Oracle and MFGPRO would be preferable
Ability to work within an international, multicultural US based matrix organisation.
