Associate/ Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is a successful Building Service Engineering Consultancy, and they are currently on the lookout for an Associate/ Principal Mechanical Design Engineer in the historic port city of Plymouth.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience. They are looking for will be a driven and highly motivated individual to come and join their team.

To apply for this role you should meet the following criteria:

• Have a mechanical building services background
  
• Confident in leading design projects and managing internal engineering teams.
  
• A relevant degree and have achieved either CEng or IEng through a suitable engineering institution.
  
• Experience with Revit, Cymap or Hevacomp
  
• Have a sound financial, commercial and contractual understanding of working in a consulting practice.
  
• Be smart in appearance and have excellent interpersonal skills
  
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
  
• Have excellent time management skills
  
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  
• Personality traits of an ideal candidate are; dynamic, driven, and approachable with good level of emotional intelligence

  The job role will include the following:
  
• You will manage the mechanical workload for the Plymouth office.
  
• You will be the Regional Director’s right hand man.
  
• The ability to represent the company in client and multi-disciplinary design team meetings
  
• Managing a client base, and providing business development support
  
• You will control every aspect of the project and design process, prepare and deliver financial
  
• Reports and projections.

• You will ensure that they are all completed successfully and communicated effectively to the management teams and clients.
