Forklift Driver

IVYBRIDGE (DEVON) AREA

Description:

Our client, a leading timber supplier in the Southwest is seeking to recruit a forklift driver to join their expanding team. 

Duties

  • Fork lift driving
  • Loading outgoing deliveries with our Timber Frame Panels
  • General assistant for the Timber Frame Builders
  • Wrapping all the manufactured Timber Frames and organising materials for the Timber Framers.

To carry out stock takes for the materials held within the factory and notifying the Production Manager of low stock.

You may be required to work on the bench to help the Timber Framers as and when required, duties which would include cutting, manoeuvring, building and assembling Timber Frame Panels, as well as dressing the panels. Cutting timber using a chop saw / CNC saw under the supervision of a Senior operati


Person 

  •  Valid Forklift license
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  •  Experience of using chop saws / CNC saws (beneficial)
  •  Good practical and creative skills
  • An organised, safe approach to work
  • Good quality standards and attention to detail
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and work at pace
  • Able to read from drawings (beneficial) 
  • Ability to use hand tools, nailers and measure accurately (beneficial)
  • You will need to be dedicated, reliable, physically fit, friendly and hardworking. 



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Working hours will be 8:00am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime.

Salary: From £20,000 per year
