Groundworker (Permanent Position)
Location: Based in Torrington, covering projects across the South West
Pay Rate: £20 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join a well-established company delivering high-specification building projects across the South West.

This is a permanent position offering consistent work on premium residential and commercial developments, where high standards and attention to detail are essential.

The Role:
You will be working on a range of high-end construction projects, carrying out all aspects of groundworks to support quality builds from the ground up.

You will meet at the company’s headquarters in Torrington each day and travel with the team to various project sites across the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out all aspects of groundworks including foundations, drainage, and site preparation
Operating plant machinery where required (including forward tipping dumper)
Excavation, trenching, and backfilling
Installing drainage systems and services
Preparing and finishing concrete works
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard in line with top-spec projects
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site
Working closely with site teams and other trades

Requirements:

Proven experience as a groundworker
CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper ticket (essential)
Additional plant tickets advantageous
Strong understanding of site safety and procedures
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
References required
CSCS card advantageous
Must have full PPE
Full UK driving licence preferred
