Assistant Site Manager – Temporary Position

Location: Newquay, Cornwall

Rate: £25–£28 per hour (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Site Manager to join a building project in Newquay.

This is a temporary position offering an immediate start on an active construction site.

The Role

Working alongside the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the site, helping to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the daily management of site operations.
Supervising subcontractors and coordinating trades.
Monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards.
Carrying out site inspections and maintaining site records.
Supporting programme delivery and quality control.
Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
Helping to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
Requirements
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
Valid CSCS card.
First Aid at Work certificate (preferred).
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
