Plant Operative (Temporary – Immediate Start, Potential Permanent Opportunity)
Location: Exeter, Devon
Pay: £18.31 per hour
Hours: 45–48 hours per week (Shift rota between 6:00am – 6:00pm, includes some weekends)

We are currently seeking a reliable and practical Plant Operative to provide cover for a team member on long-term sick leave. This is initially a temporary position for a few weeks, however there is potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will be working as part of a team operating a renewable energy plant that processes pig manure to produce methane gas, supplying energy across a large area of the South West. This is a hands-on role involving plant operation, material handling, and general site duties.

Key Responsibilities
Operating plant machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
Handling materials (including organic waste) as part of the production process
Assisting with general site maintenance and upkeep
Supporting day-to-day running of the facility
Working as part of a shift team (no lone working required)
What We’re Looking For
A practical, hands-on individual who is comfortable with physical work
Willingness to work in an agricultural/industrial environment (involving some mess)
Valid CPCS, NPORS, or Forklift licence (essential)
Telehandler ticket highly desirable
Mechanical or electrical engineering experience would be advantageous
Reliable, flexible, and able to work shifts including weekends
