My client is a global leading engineering company, they are part of an aerospace group, producing and modifying components for leading aerospace and defence companies worldwide. They are a power management company, making energy efficient products and services, they are responsible for providing solutions that help their customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficient and sustainable.
My client is currently recruiting for a Fitter Deburrer you will be responsible for the fitting and de - burring of products, ensuring parts are produced within specific cycle times, and quality standards.

Duties:

• General fitting and deburring duties
  
• Observe Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
  
• May be required to do simple sheet metalwork including forming, bending and presswork
  
• Maybe required Part Marking of components
  
• Work on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems to company specific procedures
  
• Application of lean principles/tools/seven wastes etc
  
• Gather performance evidence for quarterly review
  
• Submit regular improvement ideas
  

Essential Criteria:

• Experience of using hand tools – fitting and deburring
  
• Ability to set and operate a pillar-drill
  
• Conversant with Basic Machine Shop Measurement Techniques and using appropriate measurement equipment
  
• Previous experience in a similar environment / manual trade advantageous
  
• Experience of bending and heat treatment is advantageous
  
• Knowledge of LEAN processes
  
• Reasonable level of computer literacy
  

Education:

• GCSE's preferred
