Breakfast Supervisor

Description:

We have an exciting role as a Breakfast Supervisor, you will ensure the efficient running of the Bar and Bistro along with all weddings and functions and the supervision of all Food and Beverage Assistants under the direction of the Bar and Bistro Manager.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Supporting an environment where everyone in the Food and Beverage department is focused on ‘going the extra mile’ to deliver outstanding customer service:
Actively seeking verbal feedback from customers on a regular basis
Delivering actions to make improvements to customer service
Regularly ‘putting yourself in customers shoes’
Positively dealing with and learning from customer complaints and comments and assist with training to the team
Making sure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively
To ensure standards are consistently delivered throughout the department

Having detailed knowledge of department standards
Consistently demonstrate the standards to the team
Support actions to address shortfalls in standards


THE OPERATION:

To plan, organise and control the shift:


Communicating and delegating duties to the team in consultation with the Food and Beverage Manager and Bistro Manager
Planning ahead and ensuring adequate resources are available in the short term
Maintaining technical knowledge and skills required for the job


To provide and communicate clear direction to the team
Understanding the aims of the Food and Beverage Department’s and how to achieve them

Support the communication of aims to the team

Providing input on departmental objectives for self and team
Getting members of the team to work co-cooperatively


To seek out and maximise Food and Beverage Department revenue opportunities:
Supporting the implementation of any agreed sales action plans
Supporting sales promotions and staff incentives
Supporting the environment where ‘everyone sells’
Train and coach team members in consultation with and as directed by the Food and Beverage Operations Manager
Support standard training
To ensure the health and safety and well being of all guests and employees
Understanding and ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and the company’s Health and Safety Policy
Supporting communication to the team relating to their responsibilities within Health and Safety
Ensuring that safe and sound working practices are always implemented
You will be required to train as a company first aider and administer first aid to employees and clients if necessary
Report of maintenance issues to ensure a safe working environment.

Salary: 8.50/Hour
