Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client a highly skilled supplier of hard landscaping and traffic management requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor near Plymouth.
You will be involved in projects from the start through to final agreement of the clients account.
You will be expected to manage and minimise the costs of all live projects from tender to completion whilst increasing the value and adhering to the highest standards.
Whilst based near Plymouth you will be required to work at other sites throughout the Southwest and Wales.

Your Responsibilities:
Support in establishing client’s needs and to commence feasibility studies.

Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantity where required.

Construct cost analysis of the project for senior management

Prepare and analyse costing for tender and contract documents

Deliver advice on contractual claims

Have a strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and potential implications

Identify and develop responses to commercial risk

Investigate outcomes and conduct detailed progress reports

Maintain awareness of implications on existing contracts

Assess completed works and assist with arrangement of final payments

Perform risk, value management and cost control

Skills and requirements

RICS not essential but an advantage
Traffic Management knowledge would be an advantage
Effective at planning and arranging workload
Excellent communication skills
Excellent computer and Microsoft skills
3 Years as a Quantity surveyor

Benefits

Salary of £30,000- £45,000 dependent upon experience
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
