New Homes Sales Advisor

SALISBURY (WILTSHIRE) AREA

My client a leading and renowned house builder is continually building "forever homes". They are now looking for an additional Sales Advisor to join the team in the Salisbury area. You will carry out all aspects of the day to day running of the sales information centre in accordance with the customer journey and to maintain necessary records and documentation during all stages of the sales progress.
Your key daily and weekly tasks will include: -

  • Representing the Company in sales negotiations and administration in a professional and timely manner.
  • Following the sales process set out in the Sales induction training and development and Procedure Guide to ensure full compliance with Company procedures.
  • Respond to all enquiries and optimise the use of the Prospect Management System. (SERUM)
  • Deal with all visitors to the sales centre in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that the customer is kept informed of the progress of their purchase.
  • Respond to all cancellations making every effort to save the reservation and at all times identify the reason for cancellation.
  • Generate sales by offering relevant purchase assistance schemes, that are available at the time of the enquiry.
  • Implement the Company’s continuous drive to deliver excellent customer service by endorsing the customer journey and consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Deliver high quality home demonstrations in conjunction with the build/maintenance teams in the home that the customer has purchased.
  • Carry out daily tasks required for each of the specified sites within the hub.
  • Support colleagues within the sales hub to ensure all aspects of the sales process are completed to the required standard.
  • Liaise with the Sales Team Leader regarding customer appointments.
  • Travel to all sites within the sales hub, on a regular basis, to undertake customer appointments.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of key departmental developments.
  • Ensure that a high standard of personal presentation is maintained during office hours.

  • Maintain high standards of presentation of all sales sites, including sales office, show home and stock units and report and monitor any remedial action.
  • Ensure you have read and understood the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures and promote and comply with them at all times.
  • Report any accidents or near misses immediately to your manager and record them in the accident book.
  • Ensure your workplace is kept tidy and any hazards are eliminated or reported to your line manager.
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing on site at all times.
  • Attend all health and safety training as required by the Company.
  • Induct, with the help of the Site Manager/Maintenance Supervisor, all sales staff and agency staff in health and safety.
  • Induct staff in the lone worker policy.
  • Ensure Sales personnel are using the personal safety devices and mobile phones, and address noncompliance. 


What we are looking for to make you the next Sales Advisor are: -


  • 5 GCSEs / GCE including Mathematics and English (at C grade or above)
  • A Levels in any discipline.
  • Relevant experience - Experience working as a sales advisor for a residential house builder would be advantageous 
  • Ability to handle complaints and difficult situation
  • Have excellent proven sales record
  • Have strong negotiation and sales skill
  • Have good administration skills
  • Have an interest in property and the housing market
    Have a good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
  • Have good planning and organisational skills
  • Be patient and have the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • And, have a friendly, trustworthy and professional attitude
  • With the ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Willing to be fully flexible in respect of day to day duties and hours worked
  • Willing to travel to all sales sites, including regional offices Full driving licence.
