Purchase/Sales Ledger Manager

We are recruiting for a Purchase/Sales Ledger Manager to join a small team based within a construction client located in Newton Abbot.
We are seeking an outgoing proactive thinking individual who is not afraid to ask questions or to get involved in Financial duties and will seek out and suggest improvements to current processes. This is a genuine opportunity for a forward-thinking individual to join a successful growing business and to be involved at all levels.
You will be looking after a multi company portfolio (up to 4 different companies) looking after all the accounts from invoicing to credit control.
You will already be in a similar position and be able to multi task through different operational procedures.

Your daily/weekly tasks will include: -

  • Collect all time sheets on a weekly basis making sure all calculations are correct and have been approved
  • And, chase any outstanding time sheets which have not arrived
  • Be responsible for all invoicing on a weekly/monthly basis for all multi company portfolio
  • Be responsible for all credit control for all companies in the company portfolio ensuring aged debts and disapproved debt is kept to a minimum by prioritising aged balances for collection and ensuring all queries are promptly resolved
  • Be able to work to a strict monthly and annual collections targets including but not restricted to DSO
  • Answer incoming calls from clients regarding any queries they may have, and be able to resolve any issues within a timely manner
  • Prepare emails to accompany invoices and respond to any incoming emails in association with your work load
  • To carry out all credit checks associated with the multi company portfolio and ensure all credit facilities are monitored and controlled effectively
  • Set up new suppliers on to the in-house CRM system
  • Any administrative duties
  • Update any records with information gained and inform all personnel related to that client
  • Allocate all cash in accordance with client remittances
  • Process and generate any reminder letters and send out all statements for all multi company portfolio
  • Manage the daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations
